Although I now live in Florida, my story took place in Petoskey, MI, early in June 2021 when I got very sick. I was home for a week or so with a steady fever of around 101-102. I really don’t remember some of those days. My wife was also sick but not quite as bad. It was finally determined that I should go to the ER of the local hospital, where I was admitted for Covid. I was placed in what was called the Covid Bubble, which was an area for COVID PATIENTS. The nurses and staff were dressed head to toe in hazmat suits with face masks and shields. I was not allowed visitation. I was put on high-flow oxygen and my levels struggled to hit 90. They gave me a waiver of some sort allowing for a ventilator. The hospital went apoplectic when I refused to sign. They then contacted my wife for her to give permission and she refused. They told her my death was on her hands. I guess we were denying them the government $39k funding. After a week, I checked myself out with a home script for oxygen. I stayed on oxygen for 3 weeks or so. By August, I was fully recovered. No doubt, whatever I had DID nearly kill me. I was not vaccinated, nor will I ever be. God brought me through that episode. My heart goes out to you Scott, and your family. Grace is with our Heavenly Father, waiting for you all.
